Parkhouse Bell is currently recruiting for a Support Services Coordinator for our client in the Brisbane area. Our client provides various services to support individuals with a mental illness or disability. A key service they provide to clients is the Support Services program where they support people with mental illness, physical or intellectual disabilities in a combined accommodation and community based service to live well, develop their skills, and achieve their goals such as living independently.
The Support Services Coordinator role involves the overall coordination of individual community based support to a client base with complex and diverse needs. You will also be responsible for providing ongoing support, direction and supervision and management of a team of Support Workers to ensure client and staffing needs are being met. You will also be involved in individual client intake, assessments, support planning, management activities and administrative tasks.
We are looking for people with a good knowledge of working in the Community Services, Mental Health Services and/or Disability Services arena. You must have experience supporting people with mental illness and intellectual disabilities in a community and/or residential setting. Supervisory experience within this setting is essential. Qualifications in Disability Services, Mental Health, Community Services, Social Welfare or other relevant fields are also desirable, although not essential.
Award rates apply to this position plus superannuation and a fully maintained vehicle. This employer also offers salary sacrificing options.
