Parkhouse Bell is currently recruiting for a Senior Support Worker for our client in the Brisbane area for their Lifestyle Support Services division. Our client provides various services to support individuals with a mental illness, physical or intellectual disability. One of the services of the organisation is the Lifestyle Support Services division where they provide individualised support to clients with mental illness to live independently to establish and achieve their lifestyle goals. The service supports clients through coordination of care, linking to appropriate support services in the community, and increased community participation.
The Senior Support Worker role involves assisting in the supervision of the day to day running of the Lifestyle Support Services program. You will be involved in overseeing and supporting Support Worker teams and assisting the Manager with administrative duties such as organising staff rosters and undertaking direct support shifts as required.
We are looking for people with a good knowledge of working in the Community Services, Mental Health Services and/or Disability Services arena, ideally with experience supporting people with a mental illness, physical or intellectual disability to live within the community. Qualifications in Disability Services, Mental Health, Community Services, Social Welfare or other relevant fields are also desirable, although not essential.
Award rate plus superannuation applies to this position. Salary sacrificing options are offered by this employer also. Some shift work and weekend work may also be involved in this role depending on clients' needs.
