My client is a leader lender in the Home Loans/Mortgages arena and is leading the way in terms of innovation & improving the overall quality of its lending book, lending strategies, fraud management etc all through SAS data driven analytics and insights.
They are looking to hire a Junior level Manager to drive this Fraud Scorecard team forward. Managing initially one other person you will be working closely with a new Fraud scorecard that is now in production & being used by the business. The next challenge is to take this Scorecard & its application & effectiveness to the next level & furtherimprove my clients capabilities in this area.
I am looking for candidates who have a solid background in Credit Risk/InsuranceRisk(Credit Risk Analyst, Statistical Modeller, MIS Analyst, Reporting Analyst, Analytical Modeller, SAS Analyst) and have a blend of good technical skills (Datawarehousing, SQL, SAS- BASE, EG, EM etc). Equally important is the ability to be commercially orientatedand able toclearly articulate in interview a strong understanding of the present economic climate, strong insights into the home-loans/mortages market, an awareness of the challenges being faced by fraud in this space & potential strategies & methods to combat this through data driven SAS Analytics/Scorecards.
This is a role that is not driven by banking policy and as such has lots of scope for creativity and innovation. You will be dealing with large data-sets so good SAS skills are important as is experience dealing with Scorecards (Fraud, Personal Loan Application/Behavioural, Credit Risk Application/ Behavioural etc) as you will look to manage fraud strategy, develop new fraud detection tools, work closely with the frontline business to improve processes & be able to develop new business cases to implement new fraud strategy prevention techniques.
This is a role where my client is more interested in what you can bring to the table in terms of innovation, creative thinking, technical expertise, data management, business process knowledge, stakeholder engagement etc rather than assessing your ability to fit into a rigid, pre-existing paradigm/system of assessing risk etc. This makes this role unique, challenging and full of opportunity to the right candidate. Initially managing one person but with the scope for growth this represents an excellent opportunity for a Lead Analyst looking to make that next step.
If you are looking for that next career challenge & the opportunity to join a high performing team then this could be the role for you - please apply with an up to date CV (Word Format) or call Declan on 02 9223 0066 for a confidential discussion.
