Parkhouse Bell is currently recruiting for Employment Trainers for various locations in Melbourne. You will be involved in a rewarding role delivering training sessions to groups of jobseekers on a daily basis to help these clients towards further education and employment opportunities.


You will be based at a branch and will assist people such as long term unemployed, ex-offenders, non-English speaking and disadvantaged jobseekers to develop skills and achieve their end goal of gaining sustainable employment and/or further training and education.


In this role, you will deliver regular training sessions on a range of topics to help build jobseekers' job search techniques and employability skills. The role involves helping clients with their job search activities in a group setting and also on an individual basis.The major focus of this role will be to deliver group sessions to clients on topics such as resume writing, interview techniques, presentation, motivation, time management skills and more.


Trainers need to be very good at adapting training sessions and material to mixed client groups and ability levels. As well as having excellent communication and organisational skills, trainers should be confident, creative, flexible and motivating in their delivery style.


We are looking for people that are motivated to help others, have excellent communication and people skills and are results focused and target driven. Ideally you will have experience in working with an RTO, Job Network, JSA and/or DEN provider and have a good understanding of the barriers facing the long term unemployed or disadvantaged. Previous experience in delivering interesting and informative training sessions to jobseekers will be highly regarded.
